TREVOR AND HIS BUDDY OLIVER

Every Sunday (well, most Sundays when my kids aren't sick, which sadly is frequently the case with 4 little ones), Trevor has a standing playdate.  His buddy Oliver comes over with his mom and dad, Jamie and Bryan, who are two of my best friends ever.  It's been so cool to watch a friendship form with our baby boys at such a young age.  The last two weeks my kiddos have been sick so our playdate has take a little hiatus.  And multiple times now over the last couple weeks I hear Trevor asking me about Oliver.  It's the cutest thing.... out of no where he looks up at me and says in his adorable voice "Oliver, mom, Oliver?".  Yes, he is quite the talker for a 17 month old and he borderline holds conversations at this point, just another way this stubborn, late-walking, tantrum-prone yet charming, flirty and wildly entertaining biter and hitter is SOOOOO much like his nemesis sister Abigail.  hahaha.  Here are a few pics of the boys from recent playdates.

A HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

The day was gorgeous and I loved spending it with my amazing family! The kids made me cards (with the help of Lisa, Becka, and preschool of course!) and cookies!!!!  Brent took me shopping!!!!  I'm a VERY lucky mom. :)

TRIPLETS FIRST YEAR VIDEO

You Tube finally started allowing videos over 15 mins in length so I'm reposting the link to the First Year video that Kylie made for the girls for their first birthday!  Now I gotta work on a first year, or maybe a second year video for Trevor. =)

ABBY GOES TO OMAHA!!!

Last weekend Abby and I went to Omaha to visit the relatives.  Makenna had gone with me in 2010, Presley 2011, so it was Abby's turn!  The whole trip was so much fun and Abby was a pleasure the entire time (and often a riot... the family liked her silly, entertaining, bubbly personality).  For me the relief was an easy plane ride and a couple of solid nights of sleep at the hotel having one of my night-time-problem children already in my bed!  ;)  Aunt Kylie baby sat her Sat night after we got back to the hotel while I just laid in bed and did nothing but watch non-cartoon tv for a couple of hours!  The trip was awesome!  Here are a bunch of pictures!

With Gramma Pat

Abby kept putting herself in jail under the stool at Gramma's house!
Gramma found this wildly entertaining and this is her favorite picture.

Abby being silly on Gramma's lap.

Abby was being silly again out to lunch with Grampa Leonard and
Gramma June (sad I didn't get a pic with them this time!).  We were at
the Old Country Buffet... our favorite place to go with Grampa!

Out to dinner with Aunt Kylie our first night in town.  Abby
had a blast at dinner and loved running around our table in
circles.  I let her do so since the place wasn't too crowded and
she had been so darn good on the long 2-leg flight!

Abby acting cute and sassy with Uncle Gary.  We had
an awesome dinner at Jazz with Gary and Sue.  Abby (and I)
tried alligator bites for the first time ever!  The best for Abby was
they had beaded necklaces and she got one for Kiki and Pres when we left.

With Aunt Krissie at the Denver airport!  We had a
3 hour layover on the way home in Denver so Gramma, Grampa,
Aunt Krissie, Uncle Matt, and cousins Jack and Paityn met us for lunch!

Abby loved her cousin Paityn, who was showing her how to
play red light, green light.

With cousin Jack... too stinking cute!

Abby really looks up to big kids =)

She was completely taken by Paityn, as I expected.

Sad to say goodbye... hope we see them again soon.

Such a good girl on the plane.  Didn't hurt that I bought her
a bunch of new princess books to keep her entertained.

"What do ya mean I gotta eat a fruit cup and banana when
Presley and Kiki are at McDonalds right now with Daddy?!?"

TRE'S 1st TIMEOUT

Today Tre bit Abby twice. He had his first timeout. Sad but also very cute. ;) And ironic that Abby, the big biter back in the day (thank God that stage is behind us), finally got a taste of her old medicine. ;)

TRE - WALKING AND TALKING!

Well I'm not sure if I'm happy or sad to report, but either way, my baby boy finally started walking.  Just a few days shy of 15 months!  Much later than I expected, considering he could stand on his own so much sooner.  But I have thoroughly enjoyed watching him shake his butt across the floor as he crawled with lightning speed for so many months.  But it is great to have him hold on tight to my fingers as we walk together at the park or in the mall.  I just adore our time together.  He's still a mama's boy.  =)

Trevor continues to be an early talker... just like his sisters.  He has so many words it's not really worth trying to write them all down.  He LOVES to say "hi mama" when I walk in the room.  That one always melts my heart.  Not to be out-loved, "hi dada" is voiced quite often as well.  I think it's super cool that he says "yeah" when I ask him if he wants something.  He loves to say "a bite" when he wants something to eat.  He always says "ow-eeee" when he hurts himself.  And his favorite is to say "bear bear" when he wants his bear lovie.  Just this week he started saying "Presley".  This was much harder for the little guy than "Abby" and "Kiki", which he's been saying for a couple of months now.

A few weeks ago Tre had his 15 month check up and again he's in the 90% for height at 32" and he's again 50% for weight at 25lbs.  He continues to love food which makes me happy, but there is a little bit of pickiness starting to surface.  Hopefully it won't get as bad as it has with his sissies.  Luckily he did well again after his 15 month immunizations.  I'm thinking now that the feverish crazy fussiness that occurred after his 3 months shots was an isolated incident  =)

As for sleep, well I'm thrilled to report Trevor baby is doing much better in this area.  He is finally just in the last month down to one nap.  This usually gets him to sleep straight thru the night now 7pm till about 5:30am.  I keep giving him that "6am bottle" which really can range anywhere from 4:45 to 6:15am and he just sits there practically with his hand in the air waiting for it when I get in the room.  This still buys me up to 90 more mins of sleep.  =)  And yes, against doctors advice, I STILL give him bottles.  And recently I've discovered he is incredibly attached to the bottle.  It's tantrum central if I try to substitue a sippy cup for milk... which is weird since he drinks water all day long of out of his sippy cup!  Oh well, guess I'll deal with the effects of this parenting error when I'm forced to do so.  ;)

PRESLEY, SWEETHEART & SMARTY-PANTS

Presley continues to be our most affectionate child.  That's nothing new for sure.  And her intelligence and memory is sensational.  She can spell her name and her sissies names, and she loves to type her name out on my computer.  Her clever little comments just crack me up... A few months ago we were in the car and she kept shouting "Hey!".  After the tenth time I gave her the old saying "Presley! Hey is for horses!"  and she shouted back, "No mom, H is for horses!".  These little clever comebacks happen ALL the time from my little smarty pants =)

Smiling so pretty for the camera

Presley probably just thought of a clever comeback!  =)

Giving Alison's doggy some love... her specialty =)

KIKI MY TOM-BOY!

Very much the opposite of Abigail, Makenna has proved over time to be quite the tom boy!  Back in her young toddlers days I used to call her my dumpster-diving dirt digger.  And to this day she strongly prefers being outside and getting as dirty as possible.  She also now REFUSES to wear dresses and skirts and is addicted to clothing with skulls and crossbones on it.  In fact I made a special trip to the kids clothing store today to find shirts that fit this description.  She also LOVES to wear hats and her blue boots.  And she loves to pretend that she is Woody from Toy Story.  Oh... and the biggest daddy's girl ever.  =)  I adore her!!!

This sums it up!  Chipmunk and Mickey shirts
are tolerable... especially if they are black, grey or blue!

Wearing her skull pants.

Skirt for Kiki?  NO WAY!

She insisted on wearing both hats to dinner.

Kiki discovered a big mud puddle out front.
Never seen a kid have so much fun getting dirty,
I just let her have at it!

The smile to prove her enjoyment!
